Last year's opening of a Sugarfire-owned burger joint opening in St. Louis turned into one of the most popular new restaurants in the area last year. Now Hi-Pointe Drive-In is opening up a new location across the river, in O'Fallon, Illinois, reports St. Louis Magazine.

The magazine says the new location is expected to be completed this December.

Hi-Pointe, a spin-off of the Mike Johnson-owned Sugarfire Smoke House brand, has become famouse for its specality burgers, but also has sandwiches, salads, milkshakes and sides like Belgian frites and white cheddar mac ’n’ cheese.

It's brightly colored building is tough to miss on McCausland Avenue, just off the southwest corner of Forest Park.
