ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - This June will be a reunion for St. Louis Cardinals fans and their former first baseman, Albert Pujols. His Los Angeles Angels are coming into town to play a three-games series and it will be Pujols' first time back at Busch Stadium since he left after the 2011 World Series.

The 39-year-old described what that first moment back in St. Louis will feel like and talked about why he did not return to St. Louis, during his conversation with Graham Bensinger, of "In Depth with Graham Bensinger." The full show is set to air this weekend on Fox 2 at 4:30 p.m. Saturday and 10:30 p.m. Sunday, but you can watch parts of his conversation, here.

There were a few comments by Pujols that Cardinals fans will be very interested in:

Pujols explains why his move to L.A. was not driven by money:

Bensinger: And correct me if I'm wrong, you walk off the field game seven after winning the World Series and the Cardinals basically never even call you.

Pujols: Yeah. It took a while… I'm glad I got this opportunity to clarify, because the fans in St. Louis think that it's all about the money - that I came to Angels. I'm like, if you do the math, I came to California and I'm going to make less money than if I would've stayed with the Cardinals - like because of tax perks and everything.

Bensinger: … At that time, when you had yet to make a decision, how was it affecting you - the process?

Pujols: … I got frustrated, and I called Danny and I told him, ‘I'm done, dude’ … The last thing that I - which I would never do for anybody - is getting on my knee and begging them, and that was the last thing that I have, and I wasn't going to do that. I don't want to humiliate myself like that.

Pujols predicts a tearful reunion at Busch Stadium:

Bensinger: How do you feel about going back to Busch - the home of the Cardinals - for the first time since you left?

Pujols: I'm excited about going back and playing in front of probably the best city to play this game of baseball - best fans.

Bensinger: What do you think happens that weekend?

Pujols: … First pitch I'm going to go deep. (laughs)... No, just playing… It's hard, but I'm pretty sure there's going to be some tears. It's going to be a really emotional weekend… I'm not going to hide anything... You can't ignore it - the greatness that happened in that stadium. You can't ignore the success, no matter whether you want to hide it, you cannot. It's going to come out.
