ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Alex Reyes is ready to again put rehab behind him and earn a spot on the St. Louis Cardinals Opening Day roster in 2020.

Last year was another season full of frustration – his third since making his MLB debut late in the 2016 season. The 25-year-old righty made the big league roster out of Spring Training last year, but was sent down in the first week of the season. He broke the pinkie in his non-throwing hand when he punched a wall in frustration after a poor start, then was shut down after suffering a right pectoral strain in June.

But at the 2020 Cardinals Winter Warm-Up, Reyes told KMOX's Joe Pott that he plans to be "ready from day 1" at Spring Training. You can hear that full conversation in the audio above.

Pitchers and catchers officially report to Spring Training in Jupiter, Fla. on Feb. 11.
