ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - If you drive past Tower Tee on Heege Road, you'll notice a lot of work happening. The new driving range, mini-golf course, batting cages, clubhouse and more should be built out by February with a grand opening coming soon after.

It's a personal project for Tarlton Corporation project manager Bridget Fischer, she grew up a half-mile from Tower Tee and says she drives by it quite often because her parents still live right around the corner.

The driving range, par-3 golf course, mini-golf course and batting cages closed in 2018, after 55 years when the land was slated to become a subdivision, but a local businessman purchased the site to revive the landmark.

Now the dirt is moving again and Fischer says the reimagining of the south county landmark will include:

  • 6,000 square-foot clubhouse with an indoor training facility and lounge
  • 2 single-level driving range structures, including one that's two stories
  • 9-hole golf course
  • 15,000 square-foot putting green and a short game practice area.
  • Concessions and pavillions
  • Mini-golf
  • Bocce courts
  • Playground
  • Batting cages
  • Foot golf, which is golf but with a soccer ball
