GRANITE CITY (KMOX) -- A Metro-East hospital is diverting obstetrics patients to other facilities.
Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City says it will not be admitting patients to its "Women and Newborn" floor until March 5th.
The hospital's news release says expectant mothers with previously-scheduled deliveries have been contacted.
Emergency cases will be handled in the E-R.
Gateway cites a "temporary schedule fluctuation" as the reason for the diverting.
