JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMOX) — Former Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens is launching a blistering attack against his replacement and former Lieutenant Governor.

Greitens spoke with a website called "SOFREP", which bills itself as "military-grade content."

On the subject of Parson, Greitens says "he is doing really poorly. The situation demands frontline leadership...a leader who can deliver a calm and clear message on how to deal with the riots. Governor Parson is not that man."

Greitens goes on to say police should defend peaceful protesters' rights, but also deal with anyone who opposes that right with wanton violence.

There is no hint that Greitens will challenge Parson. However, there was news of a documentary coming which will examine both Kim Gardner and Mike Parson's role in his ouster.
