Air support was called in to watch the Mercedes-Benz until backup got there. When police tried to stop the suspect at Airport Road and North Florissant, he allegedly sped off, and a pursuit started.
The 20-year old suspect stopped the car on a parking lot in the 8900 block of Jennings Station Rd. and ran. He was arrested a short time later without incident.

The officer who was shot is an off duty Calverton Park officer who was working secondary. He was shot three times and suffered non life-threatening injuries thanks to his protective vest.

The officer has been released from the hospital, the suspect still hasn't been identified.
