CHESTERFIELD (KMOX) - Mercy tested 83 people over the weekend at its drive-through coronavirus testing site in Chesterfield and says they're prepared for an increase of tests.

Mercy spokesman Joe Poelker says the health system is working with BJC and SSM to open more testing sites because "naturally as this progresses it will infect more people who will be exposed and more people will qualify for tests."

He reminded us on Total Information AM Monday, that people still need to be pre-screened before showing up, by calling them at 314-251-0050.

He says the nurses on site are wearing protective gowns, gloves, surgical maks and goggles while administering tests to patients who sit in their vehicle.
