ST. LOUIS (KMOX) -We now know where Missourians will be able to buy their medical marijuana. The state has awarded licenses to 192 dispensaries, 24 in each of the state's eight congressional districts.

Brad Goette's Nirvana Investments will operate five dispensaries in the St. Louis area, but he's not sure when they'll open. "The sooner the better, for the patients. But we also need to get the product and the cultivation cycle takes at least three months, people have to be built out there. So, it's a little variable."

The state is scheduled to announce seed-to-sale facility certifications on January 31.

In the meantime, Goette says they will be working with local municipalities to build out their stores ahead of opening.

Nirana Investment's Nirvana Bliss stores will be in Ellisville, in unincorporated St. Louis County near Manchester, Farmington, Festus and House Springs.

Missouri received over 1,160 applications for the 192 dispensaries.
