JUPITER, Fla. (KMOX) - St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Paul Goldschmidt is out of the lineup for the third Spring Training game in a row and manager Mike Shildt says he's dealing with some arm soreness.

The manager spoke to media before Wednesday's game against the New York Mets, saying the Goldschmidt had an MRI Monday which did not reveal ligament damage.

"We are just making sure he's fine. It's not anything. We are just being super proactive with it," Shildt says.

Shildt says it will be a "couple more days" until he's back. Goldschmidt also spoke to media and expects to return to games this week.
