Severe storms could impact St. Louis area Thursday

Severe storms are expected this afternoon and early evening in the St. Louis area, across southeast Missouri & southern Illinois between Noon and 6 p.m.

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) — We are monitoring the threat of severe weather for the St. Louis Metro area, with an enhanced risk of thunderstorms in parts of southeast Missouri on Thursday. 

Rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected to hit the St. Louis area from mid-morning through the afternoon, with some storms that could produce damaging winds, flooding downpours, large hail, and possibly a tornado.

Severe thunderstorms with tornadoes, large hail and wind damage are likely across parts of the mid Mississippi, Ohio and Tennessee Valleys this afternoon and evening.
