Man who stole Spire truck arrested, bond not allowed

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) -- The man accused of stealing a Spire truck and leading police on a brief chase has been charged.
 
No bond is being allowed for 27-year-old James Harris -- he's accused of stealing a Spire work truck from near Bates and Virginia in south St. Louis Monday afternoon just after 1:00. 

Police found the truck a few hours later at Garrison and King Boulevard in North St. Louis and followed it to Locust between Grand and Compton in Midtown, where Harris was arrested without incident. No one was injured during Harris's arrest, nor were there any when he allegedly took the truck.
 
Harris faces one count each of stealing a motor vehicle, stealing from a motor vehicle and first degree tampering.
