YANKTON, S.D. (KMOX) -- Former St. Louis County Executive Steve Stenger got a couple extra days of freedom as his federal prison reporting date was pushed back.

Stenger was originally supposed to report to the Yankton, South Dakota Federal Penitentiary on Saturday. But Scott Rosenblum, Stenger's attorney, tells KMOX the reporting date was pushed back to this week. It's unclear why that happened, and it's also unclear what day Stenger is now scheduled to report.

Stenger pleaded guilty in a pay-to-play scheme and was sentenced to 46 months.
