ST. LOUIS (KMOX)-Thousands of people marched in downtown St. Louis Saturday, at one of the dozens of marches held around the country to protest gun violence and call for stricter gun control measures."We are not just a bunch of loud kids," said one speaker at the 'March for Our Lives' event. "We are planned, we are organized and we are ready."

Several speakers said that "enough is enough" and addressed lawmakers. "I want to say thank to every politican who took the time to be here today and listen to what we have to say. I sincerely hope that you guys continue to fight with us and for us when you go back to your offices. You guys are the people with the power to save lives. And, to every politican who did not take time to be here today. I want you to  know that your time in office just became very limited."

Elsewhere, about 200 students turned out for a similar march in O'Fallon, Illinois.
