Violent Weekend Sees 16 Shot, Two Killed in St. Louis...So Far

ST. LOUIS (KMOX)-As of midday Sunday, 16 people have been shot in the city of St. Louis since Friday evening.  Two of the victims have died.  The latest known homicide took place around 9:30 p.m. Saturday, at North Euclid and Greer.  The victim was a man in his 20's. The other murder victim was also in his 20's. He was shot Friday evening on Palm near Vandeventer.

Three of the surviving victims were shot after midnight on Mother's Day. One person is stable after he was shot in the shoulder around 12:15 a.m. at 15th and Cole.  One person was shot in the arm in a drive-by attack shortly before 1 a.m. in the 1200 block of South 14th.  

The third victim showed up at the hospital around 2:30 a.m. Sunday with two gunshot wounds to the chest.  There's no word on their condition.  Police aren't sure at this point where the shooting happened.

In addition to Friday's murder, 11 people were shot Friday evening and Saturday.  Among them were two children who were shot along with two adults while getting out of a vehicle just before 7 p.m. Friday on Farlin near Shreve and a 50-year-old man and 17-year-old boy were shot just before 3 a.m. Saturday at North Broadway and Branch.
