ST. LOUIS (KMOX) — The Women’s Foundation of Greater St. Louis business survey for its Women in the Workplace: Employment Scorecard is now open.

Executive Director of the Women's Foundation, Lisa Weingarth said, "At the Women's Foundation we want to highlight the good work that so many employers are doing to create work environments where women can thrive. And so we started promoting best practices through this scorecard initiative."

She said employers just go online and fill out a short questionnaire that asks them questions about their policies and outcomes around gender equity, compensation, flexible work policies, and retention and recruitment. The Women's Foundation promotes best practices and Weingarth said it celebrates those that are doing great work to support women and families.

Employers have until Dec. 20, 2019, to complete the survey. Responses are kept confidential and those employers receiving an “A” will be announced in early 2020 as the best places for women to work in the St. Louis region.

Weingarth said honorees in 2018 include nonprofits like the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse-St. Louis Area and Safe Connections; professional services firms such as Tueth, Keeney, Cooper, Mohan & Jackstadt and Brown Smith Wallace; and Webster University and Washington University in St. Louis.

The Women’s Foundation of Greater St. Louis is a nonprofit founded in 2007 that serves as a catalyst for workplace, individual and policy change that promotes women’s economic success.
