MILWAUKEE (KMOX/AP) - Did you think that thumb injury which kept Yadier Molina sidelined for more than a month was going slow the seemingly ageless 37-year-old down this year? Because it hasn't.

The St. Louis Cardinals catcher had a historic Tuesday night in Milwaukee, breaking a tie he held with Ted Simmons for most career multi-home run games by a St. Louis catcher. They were tied at six coming into the night, then Molina homered in both the fifth and seventh innings to help lead St. Louis in a 6-3 victory, their sixth-straight win.

Take a listen to both calls on KMOX in the audio above.

Molina had a historic night in Cardinals catching history for another reason, he tied the franchise's single-game record for total bases by a catcher with 10. But that is something he had already done once before, on Aug. 2 last year.

Of Molina's now seven career multi-HR games, four of them have come in Milwaukee.

"Everyone knows this is a good hitter's park," Molina said. "With the background, you see the ball pretty well here. I feel good hitting here."

Also last night, Molina doubled going 3 for 3 with a walk, driving in three runs and scoring three. He has seven homers this season, including three in the first two games of the series.

Molina has hit safely in each of his last 10 games against the Brewers. He has 15 RBIs in 14 games off Milwaukee pitching this season.
