Norovirus in Pyeongchang has Health Officials Worried

February 08, 2018 - 10:24 am

(KMOX) - The Winter Olympic Games are already underway in South Korea, and a norovirus health alert has health officials keeping a close eye on athletes.

So far, 86 cases have been detected in a norovirus outbreak, and that number is likely to rise.

Sixty-three of those infected, mostly security workers, were staying at the same youth training center in Pyeongchang.

As a precautionary measure, officials have now quarantined 1,200 additional people who may have been exposed to the illness.
