LINCOLN COUNTY, Mo. (KMOX) - An amazing story out of Lincoln County concerning how investigators tracked down a drug-dealer suspected in a fatal overdose.
It started when narcotics detectives discovered the victim of a fatal heroin overdose at a home in Troy, Missouri.
A search of the victim's cell phone revealed that he had been in contact with an Overland man, 39-year-old Lance Brown, a number of times.
Using that same phone, detectives texted Brown and set up a meeting in Troy to buy more drugs. They arrested Brown when he arrived for what he believed to be a drug sale.
Investigators recovered a plastic baggie in the car that tested positive for Fentanyl, Oxycodone and marijuana. Brown admitted he was in Troy to sell "heroin."

He is now jailed on a $100,000 cash-only bond on several felony counts.
