KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KMOX/AP) — The high-flying Kansas City Chiefs' offense and entertaining quarterback Patrick Mahomes didn't disapoint on Sunday night football.

The latest victim was the Cincinnati Bengals, who watched Mahomes torch their banged-up defense for 358 yards and four touchdowns in a 45-10 Chiefs victory. Kareem Hunt added three touchdowns, Tyreek Hill and Demetrius Harris also scored and Kansas City rolled up 551 yards total offense in the rout.

The 23-year-old QB now has 22 touchdowns over the first eight games of his career, which is the most ever. He surpassed former St. Louis Rams QB Kurt Warner, who had 21 touchdowns in his first eight games. Warner played his first NFL game at the end of the 1998 season and didn't throw a touchdown pass. But then threw 21 TD's in his first seven games of the 1999 season.

Mahomes, ironically, also didn't score a TD in his first NFL game last year.

In other news concerning former Rams records, the LA Rams beat the San Francisco 49ers 39-10 on Sunday for their first 7-0 start since 1985.

The Rams started 6-0 for three straight seasons from 1999-2001 only to lose game seven.
