TOWN & COUNTRY (KMOX) - Ticket or no ticket, anyone will be able to shop around at the massive merchandise tent for the 100th PGA Championship at Bellerive Country Club this weekend. The pro shop is the size of a football and said to be the largest PGA Championship sales tent, ever.

When you step off the shuttle and enter the ground at Bellerive, "The Championship Shops" will be the first thing you see. Michael Quirk, senior VP Director of Merchandise and Licensing of the PGA of America was there to give us a tour before the tent's grand opening on Friday at 9 a.m.

"Even non-golfers will find something," Quirk says. "The product offering is so large and so broad that I think everyone will be overwehlmed."

The nearly 47,000 sq. foot tent will be open this weekend on Friday and Sunday 9am to 6pm and on Saturday from 9am to 5pm. There will be free parking and shuttle service for visitors all weekend to and from the Creve Coeur Park Soccer Complex. During tournament week August 6-12 the tent will be open for as long as the PGA Championship gates are open.

The items include more than 250 different hats, golf apparel for men, women and children, products with St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues logos, U.S. Ryder Team gear and golf accessories. There is also plenty of non-golf items that include 100th PGA Championship logos like t-shirts, athletic apparel home decorations and clothes from brands like Nike, Under Armour, Cutter & Buck, Ralph Lauren (Polo), 47-Brand, Greg Norman and more.

Nearly everything in the shop is exclusively available in the merchandise tent, so Quirk suggests getting there early.

"Even if you have a ticket next week, save that time for golf. Get your shopping done early," Quirk says.

And if you shop this weekend you'll have a chance to get a photo with the PGA Championship's Wanamaker Trophy and Ryder Cup trophy.

The shop will be staffed by 750 volunteers manning with 50 registers that will be open throughout its nine days of sales. And if you do find yourself shopping during tournament play, you'll still be able watch all the shots on 15 large-screen televisions throughout the tent.
