Police Investigate Reported Threat at Sperreng Middle School

St. Louis County police conducted a thorough investigation, and detected no signs of an actual threat.

ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOX) - (UPDATED 2:23 p.m.) Students have been allowed back inside the building at Sperreng Middle School in the Lindbergh District.
 
This comes after students and staff were evacuated due to an unspecified threat inside the school, according to Lindbergh spokeswoman Beth Johnston.
 
Information posted on the school's Facebook page noted that St. Louis County police had conducted a thorough investigation, and detected no signs of an actual threat.

The Lindbergh School District says St. Louis County Police are on the scene at Sperreng Middle School this afternoon investigating a report of a threat inside the building.

All students and staff have evacuated.

The district is asking that parents please not drive to Sperreng to pick up their children while police are on the scene. They also ask parents to check their voicemail for additional details.

"We will continue to send phone calls to Sperreng parents and post updates at go.lindberghschools.ws as they become available," the district shared on its Facebook page.
