Poll: Americans Name Obama As Best President In Their Lifetime

Former President Bill Clinton came in second.

The Pew Research Center released results of its new poll asking Americans who has been the best president in their lifetime.

Who came out on top? Former President Barack Obama, with 44 percent of Americans saying he had done the best job as president during their lifetime.

Here are the Top 5: 

  • George W. Bush (14%)
  • Donald Trump (19%)
  • Ronald Reagan (32%)
  • Bill Clinton (33%)
  • Barack Obama (44%)

The numbers reached in the telephone survey of 2,002 adults combined the respondents' first and second choices.

Sixty-two percent of millennials, which this survey counted as being from ages 22 to 37, named Obama as either their first or second choice for best president, CNN reports. But 42 percent of Baby Boomers (54-72) and 38 percent of the Silent Generation (73-90) listed Reagan as either their first or second choice.
