According to a recent report, new Atlanta Braves outfielder Marcell Ozuna was injured in a domestic battery incident, per Andy Slater.

Slater added additional info, stating that Ozuna reported the case to a police station in or near Miami. The injury was inspected by fire rescue and was consiered a "small laceration." His wife, Genesis, is reported to have pleaded not guilty and was given a stay-away order.

One of Ozuna's recent Instagram pictures, posted on May 15, shows a family picture with him, Genesis, and his three children during the holidays. Slater's report states that the investigation regarding the incident lasted two weeks before an arrest was finally made.

The MLB world had previously been introduced to Genesis when she took some cuts before a 2017 game.

Ozuna was signed as a free agent by the Braves in January of 2020. He previously spent time with the Marlins and Cardinals, making two consecutive All-Star appearances in Miami including a career year in 2017 in which he hit 37 home runs and drove in 124 runs.

This is a developing story.
