(KMOX) — Congressman Rodney Davis of Illinois has joined the growing list of Republicans that are upset about U.S. troops are leaving Syria.

Davis told KMOX's Mark Reardon this will go down as President Donald Trump's biggest foreign policy blunder — "it'll have ramifications for decades."

Davis goes on to say, "I want the U.S. to work to protect those who have worked to protect us the most. And in this case with the Kurds, I'm upset because I think we did them wrong in Iraq at the behest of Turkey. I think we've done them even worse this time."

But Davis says he agrees with the president on many other things and Trump is better at the helm than Hillary Clinton would have been.
