Roommate Charged In Spanish Lake Nursing Home Murder

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (KMOX) -  Murder charges have been filed against a resident of a north St. Louis County nursing home.

County police say 73-year-old Willie Clemons is being held on a quarter-Million dollars bond for 2nd Degree Murder.

He's charged in the murder of 69-year-old Larry Harris, who shared a room with the suspect at The Estates of Spanish Lake nursing home on Prigge Road.

A police report shows Clemons had blood on his hands and that he admitted after his arrest that he had punched the victim "multiple times".

Detectives from the St. Louis County police department's Bureau of Crimes Against Persons are investigating.
