ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Having the most feared head coach in the NHL behind you has turned into a pretty good motivator for the St. Louis Blues. By this point, you know how he's taken this team from the cellar of the NHL, to just one win away from the Western Conference Finals.

Our Chris Hrabe spoke to Ryan O'Reilly before Game 7 against the Dallas Stars at the Enterprise Center about the man they call "Chief."

"He just says the right things at the right times," O'Reilly says. "When we need to have a spark and get more physical he's there and he's going to let us know. He's done a great job back there of reading what the games needs and how we can adapt to it."

O'Reilly says what he's come to appreciate most about Berube is his intensity overall.

"When he's on that bench and he's got a lot of emotion, you can see him really getting into games and sometimes you're thinking he might jump onto the ice and grab someone," O'Reilly says. "But you can tell that he's got everyone's back and he wants to win with a passion."

You can watch the full conversation with O'Reilly in the video above.

The puck drops tonight at 7 p.m. with pregame coverage airing on Y98 and KMOX.com, beginning at 6:30 p.m..
