Blues Offering Season Tickets For Winner of St. Louis 'ScavengAR Hunt'

Fans need to find all 10 items scattered across St. Louis for a chance to win.

ST. LOUIS (BLUES) - The St. Louis Blues today announced the launch of a two-week augmented reality scavenger hunt where fans can find hidden Blues items across the St. Louis area and compete to win a pair of season tickets for the 2018-19 season.

The Blues ScavengAR Hunt presented by The Diamond Family & STL Authentics will be activated on Tuesday, September 25 at midnight and will be open for fans to play until Tuesday, October 9 at 11:59 p.m. During this time, fans can register to participate at www.ARBlues.com and use clues found in the experience to uncover the whereabouts of a Blues ARtifact hidden in 10 different locations throughout the community.

“We’re extremely excited to introduce augmented reality as a new way for fans to engage with Blues hockey,” said Blues Vice President, Digital Media & Emerging Technology, Matt Gardner. “It’s important for us to reach new audiences and always be looking for ways of extending the Blues into the community. Augmented reality provides a unique experience for fans to interact with the Blues in their neighborhoods and unlike anything they’ve experienced with our brand before.”

Created in partnership with St. Louis-agency Drive Social Media, this first of its kind scavenger hunt using augmented reality is believed to be one of the first done by a professional sports team with integration into Facebook’s native augment reality camera filters.

“When partnering with a brand as well known as the Blues, we really wanted to push the envelope on how to get such a great fan base even more engaged and excited for the season,” said Drive Social Media’s Operating Partner, Josh Sample. “The scavenger hunt is a unique experiential marketing campaign that engages fans in a way that has never been done before in St. Louis, or for any major sports team in the country." 

In addition to one lucky fan that finds all 10 artifacts being randomly drawn to win a pair of regular season tickets for the 2018-19 season, 300 fans who find all 10 ARtifacts will also receive a ticket to a 2018-19 regular season game. While participating in the Blues ScavengAR Hunt presented by The Diamond Family & STL Authentics, fans will also unlock retail, partner and ticket offers after certain milestones are reached.
