Schnucks Recalls Santa Fe Chicken Salad from 32 St. Louis-Area Stores

The grocer was notified by its supplier that corn in the product may be contaminated with Listeria.

ST. LOUIS (News release) – Schnuck Markets, Inc. on Tuesday recalled Santa Fe Chicken Salad from the deli department of 32 St. Louis-area stores, after the grocer was notified by its supplier that corn in the product may be contaminated with Listeria.

Listeria is a bacterial organism that can cause serious and even fatal infections. Symptoms include fever, headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea.

To date, there have been no reported illnesses associated with consumption of this product.

Schnucks customers of the 32 stores listed are urged to check for Schnucks Santa Fe Chicken Salad (UPC: 82676695142) and return the product to the store of purchase for a full refund.
