Sen. McCaskill Calls Right-to-Work Ballot Move 'Disgusting'

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill has some harsh words for a right-to-work proposal in Missouri.

She thinks the effort is an attempt to marginalize workers.

“We built the middle class in this country because we thought that it was an all-American value that workers could come together and leverage their collective power for better wages and benefits. That’s pretty all-American, to come together and try to help one another to get a better life for their families” she says.

McCaskill says it's "disgusting" to move the ballot initiative, Proposition A, from a November ballot to an August ballot. She thinks lawmakers are basically holding an election for political reasons.
