ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Two St. Charles residents accused of possessing 2 kilos of fentanyl with intent to distribute it face at least a decade in prison.

Ruben Lopez and Jonathen Aguilar were arrested after investigators intercepted 1 kilo bound for a St. Charles address. The drug was wrapped in clothing. During a controlled delivery to that address, officers found the other kilo, a gun and roughly $19,000 cash.

Two kilos of fentanyl carry a street value of $100,000, and it’s enough to make 750,000 doses.
