ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - St. Louis Blues forward Robby Fabbri and defenseman Alex Pietrangelo both confirmed after practice today they are ready for game-action. Friday afternoon the Blues announced Fabbri has been taken off of IR, but did not guarantee his spot in the lineup for Saturday night.

"He could be (in the lineup), but again, it's hard to break it up right now," Berube said according to "We'll see (Saturday)."

They've both been skating with the team for multiple practices now, but head coach Craig Berube did not give confirmation when either player would be returning to the lineup.

The Blues sent forward Zach Sanford down to the Blues' AHL affiliate, making room for at least one player to make his way off of the IR for Saturday night's home game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Pietrangelo says he will likely need at least one more opinion from a doctor before a final decision on his status is made. The captain has been out since the end of November, when he injured his wrist in St. Louis' overtime win in Colorado.

Fabbri returns from a shoulder injury, suffered in the December 1 loss to the Arizona Coyotes. In 15 games this season, Fabbri has posted two goals and two assists.

The Blues have won six of its last nine games.
