Blues Trim 17 Players From Roster, Down to Final 33

St. Louis has 10 more cuts to make before the regular season opener on Oct. 4.

ST. LOUIS (BLUES) – St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong has announced in recent days the names of 17 players who will begin the 2018-19 season in the AHL. With three preseason games remaining, the Blues will have to cut 10 more players to get the roster down to 23 before the regular season opener on Oct. 4 at Enterprise Center.

On Monday, the Blues assigned seven players to the San Antonio Rampage: Forwards Klim KostinMackenzie MacEachernAdam MusilJordan Nolan and Nolan Stevens as well as defensemen Chris Butler and Mitch Reinke

On Sunday, the Blues assigned 10 players to San Antonio: Forwards Conner Bleackley, Brian Flynn, Tanner Kaspick, Austin Poganski and Trevor Smith, as well as defensemen Joey Laleggia, Sam Lofquist and Tyler Wotherspoon and goaltenders Jordan Binnington and Evan Fitzpatrick. 

The Blues will host the Washington Capitals Tuesday, at 7 p.m., at Enterprise Center.  The game will be broadcast on Sports Radio 98.1 HD3 and streamed live on
