ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - On a regular basis, the St. Louis Cardinals players are blessed with the presence of a Hall of Famer walking around Busch Stadium. They know they're lucky to still have some of the best players in baseball history as their mentors and instructors.

On this week's episode of Ameren Illinois' Inside Pitch, former Cardinals pitcher Kyle McClellan talks with current players about their favorite moments and why they appreciate the Cardinals Hall of Famers so much.

Adam Wainwright has now had 13-plus years of talking baseball with Bob Gibson and he still appreciates every moment.

"It's like one of the coolest things ever," Wainwright says. "I mean I have a chance to talk to, statistically, maybe the best pitcher to ever walk the earth. I mean the nastiest, the best year, you can't argue it, ever ... To sit and talk pitching with him, wow that's pretty neat."

And now he and his teammates get to sit and chat with new Cardinals coach Willie McGee everyday.

Hear what else he, Paul DeJong and Alex Reyes had to say about the Cardinals Hall of Famers:
