ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Officials on Tuesday will unveil the finished product stemming from the $380 million and nearly five-year renovation of the Gateway Arch grounds and surrounding area.
One of the key elements will be the brand new museum underneath the Arch, according to Gateway Arch Park Foundation Executive Director Eric Moraczewski.
He says it's been reimagined for the 21st century.
"We have brand new exhibits, very interactive; we want people in here with their hands on and touching things," Moraczewski says. "... We want you to engage all of your senses when you come in here."

EarthCam’s construction cameras were on site from February 2014 to March 2018 to document each stage of the restoration project, creating this time-lapse video!

Moraczewski says prior to its closing, the former museum drew about 2.5 million visitors annually, and they expect that figure to grow by at least 1 million per year.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is set for 10 a.m. Tuesday, and the public is invited to attend.
