ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - St. Louis was represented well in episodes of both "The Voice" and "American Idol" on Monday night.

"American Idol" returned this year on ABC, after its "farewell season" on FOX two years ago, and "The Voice" is back for its 14th season.

On Monday, Tish Haynes Keys, of St. Louis, sang Aretha Franklin's "Chain of Fools," and had the option to choose either Kelly Clarkson or Adam Levine as her coach. She went with Levine:

A couple St. Louis-natives also got some air time Monday on "American Idol." First, Gabbii Jones earned her golden ticket singing Ariana Grande's "Dangerous Woman:"

Jones is a St. Louis-native who was there with her dad. Jones said she and her father made a deal -- if she becomes a star in 30 days, she doesn't have to go back to school.

Christina Jones, from O'Fallon, also made it through Monday night, and got a big compliment from one of the judges, country singer Luke Bryan:

"You have braces on right now and rubber bands? You’re singing with rubber bands?" Bryan said, noticing her hardware.

Then, after she sang: "I felt like I should have paid a cover charge," Bryan said.

Ashley Lusk, from Eureka, also audtitioned on this year's show, but the episode hasn't aired, yet. We don't know if she made it through, but she did post her audition video:
