Steinberg Skating Rink Will Open This Sunday

Time to lace up your skates St. Louis, Steinberg Skating Rink will officially open this Sunday.

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Another winter of skating in the Midwest's largest outdoor ice rink is expected to begin in the next few days. Steinberg Skating Rink has posted on Facebook that it will open its doors to skaters this Sunday at 10am!

The Facebook post from Friday morning says "Come and lace up your skates! Sunday -Thursday 10am-9pm, Fri & Sat 10am-11pm!"

After hosting weekly shuffleboard tournaments throughout the spring and summer, Steinberg is almost ready to get back to what it does best. Public skating is expected to again be open all day, everyday with extended holiday hours between mid-November to the end of February. 

Just remember, they're cash-only.

Temperatures throughout the next week are expected to drop as low as the mid to low 20's in St. Louis, with highs in the low 40's.

Our meteorologist Dean DeVore of Accuweather just released his St. Louis Winter prediction today.

Most of Missouri and the bottom two-thirds of Illinois are expected to have an average winter, temperature wise. Specifically for St. Louis, DeVore feels December might be slightly warmer than normal, with January being right at average and February being a bit colder than normal.
