The $10 Million Tiger vs Phil Golf Match is Reportedly On

A report from ESPN's Mike Greenberg, the match which has been rumored since May will be played in Las Vegas in November.

Two of golf's titans have reportedly agreed to play a made-for-TV showdown that is rumored to have a purse of $10 million. Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson have previously said they want to play for an "uncomfortable" amount money and it sounds like it will happen in November. 

ESPN's Mike Greenberg reports the one-on-one match will take place either Friday, Nov. 23 or Saturday, Nov. 24, at the Shadow Creek Golf Course in Las Vegas. There was no guarantee of prize money, but certainly there are national broadcast companies and plenty of sponsors out there who would help make it worth their while. 

In May, both golfers talked to Golf Digest about an possible exhibition. Mickleson saying, "Now, I don't know if he wants a piece of me, but I just think it would be something that would be really fun." 

Woods replied, "I'm definitely not against that. We'll play for whatever makes him uncomfortable."

The two are playing in this weekend's WGC-Bridgeston Invitational and are both expected to play in next week's PGA Championship in St. Louis.
