ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Time once again to pack up the family and head to Pere Marquette State Park in Grafton, where the 28th annual Two Rivers Family Fishing Fair takes place tomorrow.

Scott Isringhausen with Illinois DNR says it's a great chance to get the kids to put down their phones and their video game controllers and experience the great outdoors.

“Myself as Urban Fishing Coordinator, I like to tell people a true part of my job it to get especially kids ‘hooked’ on the great sport of fishing rather than less desirable things that are out there for them to do,” he says.

Isringhausen says they have stations where kids and adults can learn knot tying and casting, a virtual fishing machine and a 4000 gallon aquarium. There will also be some old favorites, including a new-and-improved Catch & Release Bluegill pond and the always popular One-Cast Station. The price is certainly right - admission and parking are free.

It all happens from 10 am to 4 pm Saturday.
