You might know him from golf, football, the Olympics or even his role in Happy Gilmore. But one sport you may not know to be very near and dear to Verne Lundquist's heart is figure skating.

He's calling it quits on some of his national broadcasting duties after this year, but not before he's one of the faces and voices of the 100th PGA Championship on CBS. Lundquist was at Bellerive Country Club on Wednesday and caught up with KMOX golf editor Dan Reardon. You can watch their full conversation in the video above.

One question Reardon had for Lundquist: Which sport, besides golf, is his favorite sport to call. His answer – figure skating.

"I always aspired to do an Olympics, winter or summer. And I wound up getting to do three winter events in France, Norway and Japan, with Scott Hamilton," Lundquist says. "And on my list, if you said O.K. one more event. It would be sitting by Scott's side and doing – and people are shocked that this – figure skating."
