ST. LOUIS (KMOX) —  Dramatic video taken by a Marine Villa resident shows a sinkhole trying to take down a school bus.

Martin Ellinger's Nest camera caught the incident Wednesday afternoon. In the video, which you can see above, a school bus is shown stopping at the intersection of Illinois and Potomac in south St. Louis to pick up a passenger. The sinkhole forms almost instantly under the rear passenger's tire, and the bus lists to the side as it sinks partly into the hole.

Luckily, the sinkhole didn't grow any bigger, and with a little gas, the bus driver was able to pull away.

No one was hurt. The Metropolitan Sewer District says repairs on the sinkhole should take place today. They're responsible for the repairs below street level while the St. Louis City street department is responsible for putting down temporary protection.
