Wildwood Residents Still Divided Over Hidden Valley Ziplines

June 19, 2018 - 9:10 am

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Neighbors in Wildwood are still sparring over whether to allow Hidden Valley ski resort to build four ziplines.  Owners say it would improve their business and keep them from having to close.

But Patricia Fuller says she doesn't trust the city's sound study.

“What about multiple people on the platform screaming as people come across the zipline, I don’t think there’s been any discussion of that,” she says.

David Coulter lives nearby and doesn't understand all the fuss.

“Some of these properties that I’ve heard tonight are 1400 feet, 3000 feet away from an issue, and yet they’re talking about peace and quiet. It’s ridiculous,” he says.

Planning and zoning commissioners apparently still aren't convinced. They decided to, again, put off a decision on Hidden Valley's request. They want to make in-person excursions to the site first.
