O'FALLON, MO (KMOX) — The victim of a fiery, midnight hour accident in O'Fallon, Missouri was a Wright City teenager.

The Highway Patrol says 19-year-old McKenzie McMullin when her car sped off Highway 79 near I-70, hit a light pole and burst into flames at about 12:30 a.m. Monday.

She was alone in the vehicle. The highway was closed for about two hours while crews investigated and cleaned up the area.

Her crash comes days after a 4-year-old Old Monroe girl died in a crash in St. Peters.
