The St. Louis Jaycee Foundation is a 501(3) charitable organization supporting the leadership training and community service works  of St. Louis Jaycees. The Jaycee organization, today an international leadership training organization known as Junior Chamber International (JCI),with chapters  in 150 countries, was founded in St. Louis Missouri on Oct 15, 1915. The world headquarters of JCI is located in Chesterfield, Missouri.

Also known as The St. Louis  Junior Chamber of Commerce, the St. Louis Jaycees give young adults  (ages 21-40)  the chance to learn important leadership skills through participation in a wide range of community service  and individual-development projects.  Each meeting of the St. Louis Jaycees offers the opportunity for members to increase contacts, make new friendships and become involved in the community. The St. Louis Jaycees take an active interest in many community activities including the annual St. Louis Soap Box Derby.

2018 is the 40th year of involvement in this St. Louis summer tradition that dates back to the 1930's.  Other projects of the St. Louis Jaycees have included special holiday programs for the elderly, food donation programs, park cleanups, and participation in many other organizations' Walks and fundraisers.  The St. Louis Jaycees also support Wonderland Camp, a summer camp for youngsters with  disabilities, located in the Lake of the Ozarks. Involvement in these, and the other activities of the St. Louis Jaycees, allow members to demonstrate their social responsibility and clearly indicates that the St. Louis Jaycees care about their community.

Not only do these programs build self-confidence and friendships for Jaycee members, they supply the St. Louis business community with a confident source of young leaders. Management and leadership skills learned through activities of the St. Louis Jaycees mean these young men and women bring with them an asset to their employers. Current projects and activities are driven by the membership and guided by the duly elected board from among the  membership.

The St. Louis Jaycees meet monthly, for the next meeting information visit stljaycees.com. Membership in the St. Louis Jaycees also includes membership in the Missouri Jaycees, the U.S. Jaycees,  and Junior Chamber International.  Each of these organizations have annual meetings giving the opportunity for further growth and networking for members.
