Dr. Jason Newland is a Washington University infectious diseases specialist at St. Louis Children's Hospital.  And Dr. Fred Buckhold, a SLU Care general internist at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital.  Dr. Newland says as Memorial Day weekend is here, we need to continue doing all the preventative measures we've been doing over the past couple of months -- good hand washing, practicing social distancing, wear a mask when in public, and don't touch our face.  He also says we can think about enlarging our close circle of contacts -- but keep in mind, there is risk when we do that.  He also says it is okay to go to a bbq with a couple of close friends if you are sure they are also taking precautionary measures.  Road trips are okay -- he says as long as we keep our precautions in mind and remember to wipe any surfaces before we come into contact with them.  Dr. Buckhold addresses the new CDC numbers on COVID-19 mortality -- at 0.4% -- and 35% asymptomatic spread of the virus.  Plus he has tips on how to safely go to a swimming pool this summer.
