HS Walkout, Heartless HOA & Campus Costumes

Overnight America
Tuesday, October 22nd
Hundreds of students from Roosevelt High School and four staff members, including the principal, walked out of classes Monday morning to protest the firing of football coach Trey Porter. Regardless of the cause, guest-host Mike Ferguson can’t figure out why teenage students are even allowed to leave class. Next out of North Carolina, a mother who lost her son to a workplace shooting several months ago is now battling with her homeowners association over her right to fly flags in his honor. Staying in the Carolinas, Furman University in South Carolina is restricting the speech rights of students by threatening to punish them for wearing Halloween costumes deemed “offensive.” Ferguson can’t fathom the defensive manners society is succumbing to.
